Taking a leap into business is exciting but can feel overwhelming. To help you along the way our Start Your Own Business workshop will give you all the information you need to start up!

As a Not-for-Profit, the Business Centre believes that with support and good advice, being a business owner is a rewarding path. All of the Advisors and Trainers at the Business Centre have all operated (and most of us still do run) a business.

It’s through this experience that we know about the challenges and awesome adventure of being your own boss. We also know what will make your start-up phase easier! We’re excited to be collaborating with Spark Cowork space to be bringing you this workshops! The Start Your Own Business workshop is the first step to putting you on the path towards your business dream.

This two-part workshop will cover everything you need to know about running a business.

You will learn in Part 1:

  • Vision Planning – We look at where you want to go and how you can get there!

  • People Planning – Finding the right people to work with you.

  • Strategy – Looking at the bigger picture and the road to get to your goals.

You will learn in Part 2: (book here)

  • Marketing – What’s your value and how to make your customers love you!

  • Compliance – Making sure you tick the right boxes and are a lawful business.

  • Support – Access resources and advice for the lifetime for your business. You’re not alone!

Once you have some really helpful information on starting a business, we’ll start the planning – and not by filling out a 30 page template – but by using a one page Business Model Canvas which to help you identify your business strategy.

If you’re thinking about starting up or in your first year of business, this workshop has so much important and useful information for you.

Presenter:
